Scottish basketball stars the Glasgow Rocks will take on the Newcastle Eagles in the first home game of the season at the Emirates Arena (formerly the Commonwealth) this Sunday.
Two players will be sporting the SPT JourneyShare logo on their shorts following the recently confirmed partnership to support car sharing among supporters attending the Rocks games.
Two of the team’s players are about to begin car sharing and will be writing a blog to keep fans up to date on their personal experience of how car sharing saves money, mileage and the environment.
The Rocks are Scotland’s only professional basketball team and compete in the British Basketball League (BBL). In existence for 12 years now, the Rocks continue to go from strength to strength and have recently signed London 2012 Olympian Kieron Achara.
The match between the Rocks and the Eagles at the new arena is set to be the most thrilling of the season. The Rocks bring the noise and the cheerleaders – all fans are asked to do is bring the noise!
Sunday’s game is likely to sell out so be part of the action!
Doors open at 4pm and tipoff is at 5pm.
