As the festival hits 20, tens of thousands of music lovers travelling to Kinross from SPT’s Buchanan Bus Station (BBS) on Thursday 12 July will be entertained before they leave Glasgow.
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) has teamed up with Capital FM to ensure revellers using public transport can enjoy the experience before boarding the buses. Everyone going by bus will be treated to live DJ sets from Capital FM presenters playing from the Capital FM Bus parked in the station in the lead up to and over the Festival weekend. Free festival survival packs will be given out by the Capital FM Street Stars and there’s even the chance to win one of four hand-held camcorders.
Buses are scheduled to run to Kinross and back from 11am on Thursday 12 July. The final return journey is on Monday 15 July, with the last bus leaving the Festival campsite at 2pm.
In this, its 20th year, T In The Park shows no signs of waning in popularity and I’m delighted that so many people still go by bus. It is great that SPT’s Buchanan Bus Station can play a small part in everyone having a great Festival experience and making sure they get to Balado safely. I hope everyone has a great weekend.”

“It’s great to be working in partnership with SPT again as thousands of festival goers will begin using BBS to get to T in the Park. We have in conjunction with SPT created a fantastic experiential experience that I’m confident our listeners will love & one that will reinforce what the Capital brand is all about.
“Our Capital’s Street Stars will also be out and about to get lots of pics for our social media sites – so hopefully no one will be feeling too camera shy!
Tickets are still on sale so there’s still time to be part of the action, be it for one, two or the full three days.”
T In The Park is the second largest greenfield live music festival in the United Kingdom. The Killers, Rihanna and Mumford and Sons will headline this year.
