Month’s free travel for commuter Laura
Laura Bruning from Airdrie couldn’t believe her luck when she won a month’s free rail travel after filling in a short Park and Ride survey at her local station.
Her details were drawn from hundreds of entrants who took time to fill in the questionnaire, handed out at a 21 rail and Subway stations during July.
Analyst programmer Laura, who travels from Drumgelloch rail station for work each day, was delighted to discover she’d won an SPT Zonecard for her efforts.
“I’ll definitely make good use of the free travel as I commute to work by train Monday to Friday and often come to Glasgow at the weekend; it’s a great saving.
“I haven’t used a Zonecard before but now I know how flexible it is, I’ll definitely be using it in future.
“I’ve even convinced my daughter to register for one too. She travels to Glasgow every day for college and like me, wasn’t aware of the great value the ticket was. She’ll also be looking out for any future surveys to see if she is as lucky as me!”
The statistical information gathered from the survey will help inform SPT’s Survey and Data department about usage patterns at Park and Ride sites across Strathclyde.
I’d like to thank everyone who took time to feedback to us and although it may seem like a small thing, the information is very important to us and helps us understand better how Park and Ride sites are performing and how they could be improved.
“I’m delighted that Laura and her daughter will make the most of their Zonecards too. SPT believe it is one of the most cost-effective and flexible ways to travel within the region.”
