SPT is delighted to welcome one of Scotland’s most recognisable and infamous characters to the Glasgow Subway this summer.
The much loved cheeky laddie will be taking pride of place in St. Enoch’s Subway station as part of Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail – Scotland’s free nationwide public art trail which features over 200 unique Oor Wullie sculptures across the streets of five of Scotland’s cities, including 50 in Glasgow!
Oor Wullie’s BIG bucket trail is not only going to be a whole load of fun for all the family but an opportunity for everyone to recognise the fantastic work of three of Scotland’s children’s hospital charities and raise money to support them; Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and the ARCHIE foundation – all of which help to take care of children in hospital across the country.
Kicking off on June 17th, running for 11 weeks and ending on 17th August, the trail will feature a variety of brilliant Oor Wullie statues, each with their own unique design for you to “collect” using the Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail app. What’s more, some of the statues will even have rewards which you can unlock once you “collect” the statue!
Glasgow Subway are proud to have partnered with our friends at The Willow Tea Rooms to provide a lovely reward for anyone who unlocks the reward on our Oor Wullie statue but we’re not going to tell you any more than that, you’ll have to find Oor Wullie and unlock the reward for yourself!
We can’t wait for the launch day, there’s plenty going on for the family to get involved in.
Will you complete Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail this summer?
