On Saturday 14th July, Glasgow Subway’s #SummerOfMusic 2019 concluded with a fantastic performance from our winner, Marina Rolink.
Glasgow Subway collaborated with TRNSMT Festival and Capital Scotland to give one lucky winner the prize of performing a set on the Queen Tut’s stage at TRNSMT Festival. With 100’s of entries flooding in, 16 talented finalists were chosen to battle it out for the big prize!
Across the 27th and 28th of June, from 4-6pm, the chosen musicians performed to Subway crowds in Hillhead, Kelvinbridge, St. Enoch and Buchanan Street stations.
With every performance offering something different, choosing the final winner was no easy task! Marina Rolink stood out from the crowd; her beautifully written songs and clever lyrics were complimented by delicate, melodic sounds coming from her ukulele. She was announced as Glasgow Subway’s #SummerOfMusic winner and performed her set on the Queen Tut’s stage at TRNSMT Festival on Saturday 14th July.
Glasgow Subway is delighted to be able to give local artists the opportunity to showcase their talent and our collaboration with TRNSMT Festival and Capital Scotland provided Marina Rolink with a once in a lifetime opportunity!
