SPT Coronavirus (COVID 19) update

SPT continues to monitor the spread of Coronavirus and remains vigilant to all updates from public health authorities and from both Scottish and UK governments as the situation continues to evolve and as more updates and advice become available from the Scottish Government.

From Saturday 28 March the Subway will operate on one circle only.  We will continue to run the Outer Circle operating clockwise from Govan and stopping at all stations offering an eight-minute servicefrom 6:30am to approx. 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday. The last train from Govan to the City Centre will depart at 20:42.  The last train will leave the City Centre for Govan at 20:55. The last train to leave the City Centre and go to all stations is 8:30pm.

This if for the protection of staff and passengers still using the Subway. Services are being kept under constant review at this time and we will keep passengers updated as to any changes.  As much as possible we ask that customers pay for tickets / load up their Smartcard by credit / debit card rather than cash.  We will be continuing with extra cleaning services on trains and in stations particularly around ticket offices and at all touch points in stations so at info points and at ticket machines.

From Tuesday 31 March, the car park at Shields Road will close.  Bridge St and Kelvinbridge remain open.

Our bus stations remain fully operational and cleaning schedules have been increased in stations. For now, SPT supported services are still operating, however many individual bus operators are reducing their services across the network, please check with them before starting your journey or contact:

Please only travel if you are an essential key worker and your journey is absolutely necessary.

We understand the concerns that Coronvirus is causing in our communities and we wish to reassure you that we are doing all we can to maintain high levels of cleanliness in all SPT stations and on trains.

All our staff are fully aware of all the latest health advice with regard to the spread of the virus so are aware of the importance of washing their hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.

All MyBus services have now been suspended with immediate effect. We are trying to contact customers with bookings to update them. This may take some time so we ask for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

While we are continuing to respond to all enquiries by email across SPT including Zonecard and Smartcards, this may take a little longer than our usual response time, please bear with us.  We will respond and thank you for your patience at this time.

We are still responding to all enquries and complaints but we may not be able to do so within the usual timescales, apologies we will respond as soon as we can.  The same applies to Freedom of Information and Data Protection Subject Access Requests, we are working to respond to all requests but may not be able to answer within the respective statutory time-scales.

We encourage all passengers to follow advice from Government and relevant public health authorities.
