SPT Coronavirus (COVID 19) update

SPT continues to monitor the spread of Coronavirus and remains vigilant to all updates from public health authorities and from both Scottish and UK governments as the situation continues to evolve and as more updates and advice become available from the Scottish Government.

From Monday 1 June, the Subway will recommence service on the Inner Circle so both circles will be in operation from 6:30am to approx. 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday.

Services are being kept under constant review at this time and we will keep passengers updated as to any changes.  Please only travel if your journey is absolutely necessary. Do not travel if you feel unwell. Following Government advice, you should wear face covering when travelling on public transport. Please plan ahead and llow extra time for your journey as there are restrictions in place as to the number of people who can travel at any one time. As much as possible we ask that customers pay for tickets / load up their Smartcard by credit / debit card rather than cash.  We will be continuing with extra cleaning services on trains and in stations particularly around ticket offices and at all touch points in stations so at info points and at ticket machines. Always wash your hands, as soon as you can after every journey.

The car park at Shields Road remains closed.  Please use Bridge St and Kelvinbridge for park and ride.

Our bus stations remain fully operational and cleaning schedules have been increased in stations. Many bus operators have revised their services across the network, please check with them before starting your journey or contact:

We understand the concerns that Coronvirus is causing in our communities and we wish to reassure you that we are doing all we can to maintain high levels of cleanliness in all SPT stations and on trains.

All our staff are fully aware of all the latest health advice with regard to the spread of the virus so are aware of the importance of washing their hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.

All MyBus services have now been suspended with immediate effect.  The majority of customers with bookings in the forthcoming weeks have now been contacted. We will keep customers updated to the most current situation as the lockdown continues.

While we are continuing to respond to all enquiries by email across SPT including Zonecard and Smartcards, this may take a little longer than our usual response time, please bear with us.  We will respond and thank you for your patience at this time.

We are still responding to all enquries and complaints but we may not be able to do so within the usual timescales, apologies we will respond as soon as we can.  The same applies to Freedom of Information and Data Protection Subject Access Requests, we are working to respond to all requests but may not be able to answer within the respective statutory time-scales.

We encourage all passengers to follow advice from Government and relevant public health authorities.
