Review of the Stratchclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme

SPT is carrying out a review of the Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme (SCTS) and is inviting users of the scheme to give their views.

The concession Scheme offers National Entitlement Cardholders living within the Strathclyde area discounted travel on rail, Subway and some ferry services.  SPT adminsters the scheme for the SCTS Joint Committee and is running the survey on its behalf.

The review will examine all the options for the Scheme’s future financial sustainability as it continues to work to deliver the Scheme’s objectives to improve access for older and disabled people living in the Strathclyde region and for island communities.

The SCTS is funded fully by SPT’s 12 local authority council partners and is complementary to the National Concessionary Travel scheme for bus travel which is funded separately by Transport Scotland.
