SPT’s summer campaign for Subway launched this week. ‘My Summer, My Subway’ takes the lead from the successful ‘My Glasgow, My Subway’ and highlights all the amazing events taking place across the city over the coming months.
The campaign itself has been designed in-house by our Marketing team. Taking inspiration from the buildings and sites around Glasgow ‘My Summer, My Subway’ aims to show and remind the people of Glasgow what’s on their doorstep and how simple reaching these events by Subway is. From TRNSMT, Pride and Festival 2018 to the World Pipe Band Championships and Kelvingrove Band Stand there’s a host of varying events all taking place across the Subway network which have been highlighted within the campaign.
The team came up with a unique and interesting approach when creating the campaign by engaging with Subway’s followers on social media. Hilary Kidd Marketing Manager commented ‘We wanted to gain a true vision of Glasgow from a local perspective so we decided to reach out on Facebook and Twitter to find a local photographer who would capture the city’.
After receiving hundreds of entries Andrew Alexander was chosen. Andrew is a local photographer from Glasgow who’s passionate about the outdoors and capturing authentic scenes which stand the test of time. ‘ Being chosen as the winning photographer is such an achievement and something that I’m so proud of. Photographing the city and the Subway is a dream come true and something that I couldn’t wait to get stuck into. I hope you all like it!’
