SPT Mobile Travel Centre

Our Mobile Travel Centre provides public transport information to rural areas within Strathclyde.

  • In addition to our network of Travel Centre offices, we also operate a Mobile Travel Centre - the only one of its kind in Scotland - funded by the Rural Transport Initiative.

    The role of the Mobile Travel Centre is to promote public transport and to provide people in rural areas within Strathclyde with information on local rail and bus services, express and long distance coach services (including travel to Europe), day tours, short stay breaks, and local ferry services.

    • Journey planning;
    • Independent information for bus, coach, rail, Subway and ferry travel in the Strathclyde area;
    • Information for express coach travel throughout Strathclyde, Britain and Europe.

  • SPT's Mobile Travel Centre vehicle is fully accessible to mobility-impaired people and wheelchair users, with a tail lift provided at the rear and seating provided internally.

  • SPT's Mobile Travel Centre will be visiting the following locations. There will be no service on Friday 24 September and Monday 27 September because of Public Holidays. Please note also the change of location on Monday 4 October - because of works, the normal visit to Clydebank will be replaced by a visit to Dalmuir.
