Our Travel Centres are here to provide independent travel information and advice on all forms of public transport within the Strathclyde area.

  • Whether it is information for travel to and from work, a day out to the seaside or coach travel throughout Strathclyde, Britain and Europe, our Travel Centres are here to assist you. We provide a wide range of services for all modes of public transport in the Strathclyde area and beyond, including:

    • Journey planning;
    • Independent information for bus, coach, rail, Subway and ferry travel in the Strathclyde area;
    • Tickets and information for express coach travel throughout Strathclyde, Britain and Europe;
    • Tickets and information for tours and excursions;
    • Local travel cards and season tickets for most major bus operators.

    We accept cash and most other methods of payment such as major credit cards and cheques accompanied with the appropriate cheque guarantee card.

  • Our experienced Travel Centre Assistants will be pleased to offer you impartial advice in planning your journey, helping you to get where you are going as seamlessly as possible using public transport.

  • Our objective is to provide easy access to our facilities for everyone wherever possible. To complement existing facilities, such as induction loops for the hard of hearing in our modernised Travel Centres, we now include lowered counters in our standard travel centre design specification. Our units at Buchanan bus station, East Kilbride, Glasgow Airport, Greenock and Hamilton feature these counters.

  • Please note that Hillhead Travel Centre has now merged with the SPT ticket unit at Hillhead Subway Station.

    Public transport information timetables are available from displays at Hillhead Subway Station and there is an electronic information display showing scheduled departure times for bus services on Byres Road.

    Customers in the Hillhead area can renew their SPT ZoneCard at the McColls shop on Byres Road and Crow Road or from Partick and Hyndland rail stations.
