Park & Ride for only £4.60!
As the Great Scottish Run comes to Glasgow on Sunday 6th October, the city centre is expected to be much busier with crowds and temporary road closures. To combat this Glasgow Subway will be opening early on the day of the race with the first train departing Govan at 7:15am, to help runners and supporters get around the city hassle free.
Glasgow Subway are also offering a park & ride deal for all event participants at Shields Road Station which will allow free Subway travel when parking at the station. Parking will cost £4.60 for the day and offer one person free return Subway travel into the city centre, a saving of 40%. Passengers will need to show proof of event participation. Please be aware due to road closures, access to Shields road car park will be via Carnoustie Street and will be signposted for customers.
With over 800 parking spaces at Shields Road Station and a short 5 minute Subway journey to Buchanan Street, this offers convenient and hassle free travel for all event participants travelling through via car.
