From Sunday 10th November, through to Sunday 22nd December, we will extend our opening hours for the festive period every Sunday. The extended Sunday opening hours means trains will run until 20:30 giving city residents, Glasgow visitors & shoppers alike more flexibility and convenience during the busy festive time period.

From Christmas markets, to festive lights, bustling shopping areas and festive events, Glasgow city centre will attract residents and tourists from all over, filling the city more than usual. The extended opening hours on the Subway will ensure a pivotal service that will smoothly transport all eager to be involved in the festive offerings. 

The Subway will close at 23:00 on Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24th December, with last trains leaving the City Centre at 22:30.

The Subway is closed on Christmas Day, Wednesday 25 December, reopening on Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December, at 08:30 closing at 23:00 with last trains leaving City Centre 22:30.

Normal opening hours will operate between Friday 27 December and Monday 30 December.

On New Year’s Eve, Tuesday 31 December, Subway will open at 06:30 and close at 23:00 with last trains leaving the City Centre at 22:30.

The Subway is closed on Wednesday 1 January 2025, reopening on Thursday 2 January at 08:30, closing at 23:00. Last trains will leave the City Centre at 22:30.

Normal service resumes on Friday 3 January 2025.
